Baby Bean is now Toddler Bean

Fast forward 18 months and the Bean has sprouted, not only in kg & inches but also developing a demanding personality to challenges her parents everyday.

Quick tip for the hopeless at taking fotos - take them at Carrefour, they have great lighting.

So, while we were eating...of course...the conversation about was about Cheok! And guess what...about his age lor!

Get this, we were wondering...him falling...twisting his foot...so....not so young leh.

Then came a very nice steam Patin fish. Delicious...and we all wanted rice with it. So, we ordered rice......

















It was black in colour!! Well, this is their infamous black olive rice. Very 'kiam' leh....so cannot really eat with the steam fish or the 'tim bak'. Though, it was quite nice on its own. I guess Heng Jin will be in China eating this as he is working in a olive plantation?


















Kheng Yong is same age as Pat and Me, Mooi Yong as young as Peter, and Ah Gaik would be having the same number of candles as Cheng Hu lang and Sharon. :-)






















So, here we are ...after dinner...after talking about another reunion...the big one...with all the aunties and uncles.... It was a nice evening.

Okay, we did have real food. First one is the steam chicken, eaten wrapped with ginger and lettuce. Yum!






















Then, came this funny looking pot.....but a nice 'leng ngau' soup with bak kut and kacang.

















Prawn and tofu in a sweet sauce....it was quite different but not really 'ho chiak'

















I like this! 'Tim Bak' done ala Singapore...2 slabs of round shaped mince meat.

as usual when the cousins get together, we get rather rowdy.

so this was what actually happen that night.


andrew's son : you put that cheese fundu any nearer,
i'm going to kick it, you bet i'm going to kick it.

oops, i forget to tell ah hock to come for the dinner,
better tell him, its cancelled and tell them he is not coming

lets see, my dad had the fish, my mom had some risota,
i saw some cheesy thing there, and wtf am i drinking ! milk !

blardy hell, they forget its my birthday, somemore no present

pat: we bought the cake, but doreen's cat ate it
andrew: i dun care, i want my cake, or else i dig my nose
pat : it is not my fault.

indian boy : where's the cake lah, you said its your birthday
daniel :(make dont know only)

so i gave up my saturday evening for this lah,
small little piece of crepe, not even a cake
somemore must share with 10 ppl
blardy hell !

somemore have to cut it myself, not fair, i want a cake !

andrew's son: this is my cake
sharon: no it is not, it is your dad's,
andrew's son: no its not, my dad's cake was that crepe,
he can cry for all i care, this is mine.

the food as i mentioned in part 1 was just average lah. but sure better than singapore right ! sound like picking a fight with singapore ppl only.

and now finally part 3, what really happen !

cousins get together part 1

well it finally happen. a bunch of cousins emailed each other, and on the 8 april 2006, at abt 7pm, some of us came crawling. andrew was there first, then me, then came my sis, then finally pat & doreen. ah hock didnt make it.

the weather was kl worst. have been raining since 3pm, thunder and lightning, it was like god was having a game of thunderbolt with his angels. it rain and rain, the rain didnt stop till abt only the next day morning, 8/9am. great leh ?

how was it ? i've decided not to blog abt what happen, but only share the photos, so the next time, more might come. fair right ? dont come see picture lor, if you come, then you know what jimboy other name is. and who is "or ah" (black crow), you see, you see what you miss.

food wise was so-so lah. most of the other food, other than the meat section, was either boh kau kiam or boh kau tnee. maybe ah moh like it like dat. my guess is the cooks are not very experience wise. they have the ingredients, but not the skills. maybe i was hoping for jamie oliver. too high hopes.

anyway, there were a lot of pictures, but i'll just choose a coulple, just to show you who were there. enjoy the pictures.
