Rescued animals.

Here are some dogs that we have rescued. What to do, we keep running into lost dogs. All are now with new homes. The first one is a Boxer names Tobias. We found him in the middle of the road, he was knocked by a car. Notice his paw plastered up and the cone is to keep him from chewing off the bandage.
The Shiz Tzu is called Brutus, real pampered pooch who doesn't like taking photos.
And the lovable but destuctive Beagle is Charlee. Charlee lived with us the longest. We would have kept her if not for the fact that Jacob and Charlee didn't quite get along. They would play but Charlee was very rough so jacob ended up with wounds all over his body. But this Beagle really is very sweet. Chews everything in sight tho!

...Hokkien Dictionary..Back Again!!

AN CHUA(ahn-choo-ah)

Hokkien for "What's the matter?", "What's up?" or "How are things?" Heard very often as the first or second phrase used on a mobile phone."Hallo? Ah Kow? An Chua?"

AMACAM (Contributed by Mat)(ah-much-ahm)

A contraction of the Malay greeting, "Apa Macam" which is the Malay equivalent of "What's up?" or "What's happening?""Eh, Ramli! Long time no see! Amacam?"

Uncle George's Birthday in Taiping (21 Oct 2006)

A couple of photos from the birthday. Jim Boy was there too but we didn't get any shots of him. What a waste!

Jacob Dog

3rd attempt. This is Jacob, my Jack Russell gila-babi dog. Not really friends with Moses the cat but there's a mutual understanding on who's boss in the house, which is Moses la of course. On the left is him as a puppy, the other one is all grown. But not much difference actually.

Abseil Down Berjaya Times Square!

Here it is!!! A charity fundraiser for the disabled games in Kuala Lumpur this weekend.

My company is organizing an event to help with the fund raising for this games. We had an exclusive abseil for invited guests on 21st November and it was amazing!

We had a team from Melia Hotel come down, in their corporate uniforms, and a chef!

But what was most touching was having Stanley, an impaired vision athlete from our Malaysian contingent abseil down. Standing on the ledge, he was trembling, sweating and you could see the fear in his eyes. But he knew he had to get through this and he did! For someone who has almost no eyesight, and do the abseil is amazing. I was with him, preparing him for the jump and I was almost in tears.

So, for you KL cousins, please come down and do your bit in this charity event. It is RM250 per jump but if you look for me as I am the Event Director, I will give you a discount.

And do have a peek at our website.... www.kl06fespicfundraiser.com.my

You Wanna Bet I Can't Get In The Pail?

I was going through some of my photo logs and found these! So, both of these boys.....was 'told' that in Taiping, bath is done outside. Of course, they were most delighted that it wasn't going to be the old bathroom type of bath.

.......and yes....squeezing in the pails weren't a problem! Posted by Picasa
