Some of the accident photos, taken at the workshop the day after. The first one shows the ever positive Pat, with nothing but a bump on the head.

Peter & Family in Singapore

At the Fountain Terrace stage, Suntec City, Singapore.... watching the Laser show at Fountain of Wealth (World's Largest Fountain)

There was even a "special welcome dedication" to Ryan & Julian (laser writings) from us... boy, was Ryan surprised!

Dinner at Pastamania, Suntec. Janet even managed to convinced Ryan that his first dish, garlic bread, was actually Singapore's version of "pizza".... and he believed her! Ha... ha... We had a wonderful time in Suntec!

A little trip to Singapore

A few months ago, I made a trip down to Singapore to spend some time with Gaik and family. Then, I discovered the HOUSE at Dempsey. It is a fabulous place...an old army getup that is now transformed into a swanky place with restaurants and over-the-top grocery store and shops.

Krabi

It's been so long since i posted photos that i'd almost forgotten how!

Anyway, was away for 5 days in Krabi. It's a great beach resort, which gives u the option to just bum around or rock climb and kayak. Of course i chose to bum around!

Happy Happy National Day Singapore!

Celebrating a preview to the annual National Day Parade (NDP) which is a big event in our country. It was held at Marina Bay floating platform. Several preview shows are usually being held over a few weeks (Saturdays) prior to the actual celebration day on the 9th August in order to allow as many people as possible to experience the NDP celebrations here in Singapore. Happy Holidays to all of you people in Singapore!

"Hair for Hope" Shaving Project

In support of children in Singapore who have cancer, Tim's school started this "Hair for Hope" project, which is organized by the Children's Cancer Foundation to raise public awareness on childhood cancer, morally support affected children & families and to raise funds. So his school arranged for hairstylists to come to their school to shave the pupils' heads! (teachers & parents included too!)

Beauty and the Beast

I went to watch the musical 'Beauty and the Beast' last night. It was the finale show. I got complimentary tickets from Hotel Imperial and it was the RM350 tickets!

The musical was held at the KLCC Plenary Hall and it was a 2.5 hours show. The set was great and the costumes really nice. All the characters looks alike from the cartoon characters. And the best thing was that you could hear people singing along with the tunes.

Old Taiping

In my recent trip back to Taiping over the labour day weekend, I snapped a few more photos of the old houses in town. And you all probably recognise that this 1st photo is Ah Kong's place.

The rest of the photos are just of the houses around the area.

Port Dickson

Lots to say about the trip.

  • The bungalow was very nice, very clean, lots of space, big garden, faces the sea. 4 rooms enough to fit 13 people.

  • The sea tho was hopeless. Just see from far enough. Tho dirty as it may be, we all went inside for a 'swim'. Just had to. Before i arrived ( Gwyn and i only arrived at 6pm, Saturday), the rest of them had a mud bath. They waded thru knee deep mud in the sea cos they thot it was a shorter route home. I was told they smelled real bad after that!

  • We basically ate the whole time. The caterers cooked one or two meals (cos the Ees were on strike the first day). Saturday nite we had BBQ. Danny Boy was an excellent chef, his BBQ chicken really nice, juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside. None of the usual 'chau ta' stuff we get at BBQs. Even BBQed huan chu.

  • After the Ees stopped the strike, they were pretty much in the kitchen or cleaning the house. They swept the floor, mopped the house, wiped the tables, washed clothes. The house actually looked cleaner when we left!

  • We also had mangos galore. There was a huge mango tree outside the house. Very sweet. And early Saturday morning there was a storm so many of the fruits fell down. We had mangos for breakfast, for lunch, dinner and supper, and even had enuf to bring home!
